As entrepreneurs and founders, we’ve been told that digital presence is everything. That our worth is measured in followers, engagement rates, and viral moments. But many of us are now finding that we’ve optimised our lives for algorithms instead of actual connection.
I should know. I'm living it too.
Despite being more “connected” than ever, I often feel completely disconnected. The social media recession is real, and I’m feeling every bit of it.
So I’m doing something about it – and I’d love you to join me. 🫶

Touch The Grass Community is for business leaders who want to step away from the digital hamster wheel and rediscover what IRL connection feels like…without the awkward networking…
(Yes, the irony of promoting an anti-digital community online isn’t lost on me.)
Here's what we're building:
- Monthly outdoor meetups with fellow entrepreneurs / people in business
- Conversations without the pressure to "create content"
- Building genuine relationships, not LinkedIn connections
- Sharing ideas over tea instead of tweets
- Creating space for the best insights that come from slowing down
What To Expect
On the last Friday of every month, we meet outside. Simple.
Sometimes it’s a walk. Sometimes a hike.
Maybe a sea swim or sauna session.
Or just a picnic in the park.

As we grow, our plans can get more ambitious too. But right now, we’re keeping it simple.

Is there a fee to attend?
Nope – there is currently no membership / attendance fee to join the meet ups.
That might change if there is interest to run a group activity. But for now there’s now charge.
Will people try to sell me things
I really hope not!
Seriously – if someone gives you a hard sell on the side of a mountain, please send them my way and I will discreetly remove them from the community.
Partnerships, collaborations or sales may happen as a consequence of meaningful connections. But it is not the sole aim for this community.
Do I have to be outdoorsy?
Not as such, no.
But we will be outside in the Irish weather, and there is a certain amount of unpredictability with that.
But no one expects you to be Bear Grylls!
The meet ups will be as accessible as possible, and tailored to a mixed-level group. They are also selected by the community, so feel free to throw in suggestions for what you would like to see too.
What if it rains?
Most of the time, rain won’t stop us. It might mean adjusted plans, but only the worst weather will hold us back.
But there is never any obligation to attend! If you don’t love a rainy hike, then that’s not a problem.
I'm quite introverted - will I be okay?
Welcome. You may just have found your perfect group.
There’s no forced mingling or ice breakers. Often the best connections happen when two quiet people end up walking together and talking about something completely unexpected.
Most of us are fans of big talk over small talk anyway, so never feel like you have to show up and perform.
What if I don't know anyone?
Perfect! That’s exactly the point. None of us are performing our “online personas” so everyone’s starting fresh.
